Our Family Medicine Residency faculty are interdisciplinary, including board-certified family physicians, geriatricians, sports medicine physicians, a family therapist (currently President of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine!), a Dean of the Medical School, social workers, a clinical pharmacist, a director of research, and a part-time nutritionist.  All faculty clinicians provide direct patient care and precept in the Family Medicine Center at Asylum Hill (our one and only ambulatory site for the residency.) The department's administrators are also faculty members; they manage the practice and provide practice management training for residents.   We also have faculty who work at the Family Medicine Center in East Hartford and help with precepting and with Ob education. We have close affiliations with the faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and at our own hospital.

While it may not be obvious from our photos, hidden amongst us are ultimate Frisbee players, a triathlete, a marine biologist, a competitive (and winning) swimmer, moms, dads and partners, a mountain climber, an amazing musician/singer,  several avid birders, a home remodeler and more!   We take our personal and professional lives seriously, always striving for balance. The people are what make this a dynamic program.
